Revolution Gaming Rakeback
|Rake type:||Qualified Raked Hand|
The Revolution Gaming Network is a new online poker entity, established by Lock Poker, through the taking over of the Cake Network. Currently, there’s a lot of speculation on exactly what the new network will be like. People are hoping for Stud and Draw games to be hosted by the RGN, but few things are certain at the moment. What seems to have been accepted for a fact is that Lock Poker will bring their own cashier and promotions system to add to the package, together with increased RGN rakeback and all sorts of rake races which carry awesome value for rake rebate players.
The software has always been an Achilles’ heel type of thing for the Cake network, so the new organization will obviously tackle that issue, by revamping the package and launching a Mac-compatible client too, which is rumored to be fully functional already and undergoing extensive testing.
The sites which are currently Cake network skins will not be changed a lot in the initial stages of the takeover. They will retain their own cashiers for the time being and support will remain the same too. The player pool will be expanded from the get-go though, so promotions are likely to be improved all over the network and the action will pick up some added momentum too.
One aspect that can definitely be improved is the tournament schedule. The Revolution Gaming Network has recently released the new tournament schedule according to which there will be a $109 daily tournament, and a $530 Sunday event featuring a guarantee of $75k. It seems like the event will be hosted by Chris Moorman and Annette Obrestad. Melanie Weisner and Matt Stout will also be part of the mix: they will host the $100k guaranteed.
The promotions hosted by the new network will include: a $1 million RGN rake race, a sign-up bonus of 200% up to a maximum of $2k. Players will be offered 36% rakeback and they will get to take part in the Lock Online Poker series.
Intertops.com, Lock Poker and Cake Poker are some of the RGN members.
